Itinerary

Fes to Ifrane to Midelt to Erfoud to Rissani to Merzouga
This part of the route is organized around Fes to Ifrane to Midelt to Erfoud to Rissani to Merzouga. We pick you up from your hotel and travel to Ifrane, then on to Azrou in the Middle Atlas Mountains. You explore the cedar forests, home to Barbary macaques. We continue to Midelt and Errachidia, then drive through the Ziz Valley to Aoufous and Erfoud, arriving in Merzouga for an overnight stay in a desert hotel with dinner included.
Merzouga desert excursion
The Merzouga desert excursion stage keeps the route moving at the planned pace. On this day, we explore the Sahara, visiting Rissani and its local souk before returning to Merzouga. You discover Hassilabiad and its nomad museums, then explore Khamlia village and listen to traditional Gnaoua music. In the afternoon we ride camels across the dunes. Enjoy the desert sunset and arrive at a comfortable camp in the Erg Chebbi. After dinner, gather around the fire for live Berber music. Overnight in the nomad tents.
Merzouga to Todra Gorge to Dades Valley
This day follows the Merzouga to Todra Gorge to Dades Valley section of the itinerary. Wake up early to watch the Sahara sunrise, then ride the camels back to the hotel for breakfast. We leave for Erfoud, continuing to Tinghir and the Todra Gorges, an area famous with rock climbers. From there, we arrive in the Dades Valley, where we spend the night in a local kasbah with dinner included.
Dades Valley to Skoura to Ouarzazate to Aït Benhaddou to High Atlas to Marrakech
The focus for this stage is Dades Valley to Skoura to Ouarzazate to Aït Benhaddou to High Atlas to Marrakech. After breakfast we explore the best of the Dades Valley, then drive on towards Kalaat Mgouna and the Rose Valley. We visit Skoura village and the famous film studios in Ouarzazate. Enjoy a guided walk through Aït Benhaddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most photographed kasbahs in Morocco. We continue over the Tizi n'Tichka pass to Marrakech.
